Design Features

Our red brick inspiration came to life at 196 Hills Road, where every townhouse reflected that balance of British heritage and modern Christchurch living. The project struck a chord with buyers seeking a stylish, low-maintenance lifestyle and something with both character and quality.

The development is now fully sold out, proving that demand for timeless design, durability, and well-located homes is stronger than ever. For us, Hills Road was more than just a project – it was a statement of intent for the kind of design Rosefern wants to build across the city. Permanent materials and timeless construction never goes out of style.

Inspiration behind the build

Growing up in the North East of England, terraced living is prevalent and there’s plenty to admire, like the simplistic but efficient design and red brick exteriors that have literally lasted for centuries. Such durability is incredibly reassuring and we want to recreate that sense of longevity in the homes we deliver.

Where Paul is from in the South of England, homeowners frequently convert old red brick barns, often retaining the rustic cladding component whilst adding elements of modernity to create beautiful spaces.

The combination of both our heritages has inspired Rosefern’s new era of less plaster boxes, more traditionally inspired design with durable low-maintenance materials, beautifully built to last and perform.

With a distinct hat tip to the classic architecture from the UK, we also wanted to mirror the aesthetic of newly constructed red brick establishments in Christchurch – think Riverside Market and Little High – that have incorporated reclaimed red brick in their design.
